The Gstone MVSX Home Arcade will include 50 legendary and popular titles from various NEOGEO Series such as THE KING OF FIGHTERS, FATAL FURY, SAMURAI SHODOWN and METAL SLUG.

Gstone Group, working closely with SNK, has announced the SNK NEOGEO MVSX home arcade system featuring 50 classic SNK NEOGEO titles releasing in North America in November 2020 with 10 built-in languages.

The SNK NEOGEO MVSX will be the ultimate home arcade for fans of classic SNK titles as it will include both the MVS arcade and the AES home versions of games from fan-favorite series like The King of Fighters, Metal Slug, Fatal Fury, Samurai Shodown, Art of Fighting and sports titles including Baseball Stars Professional and Top Player’s Golf. The games are all housed within a stylish tabletop arcade with an attached base that has a 17-inch 4:3 LCD screen and has two-player support with analog joysticks and buttons. Fans of the classic SNK NEOGEO MVS arcade machines are sure to love the tabletop arcade’s aesthetics as it’s decked out in red and white, has familiar button placements (such as the “SELECT GAME” button) and has its signature marquee showcasing beautiful box art for the most popular franchises of the 50 games.

My quick review

The emulation runs a lot smoother on this than the mini and it outputs at a higher resolution (720p). You can also use it as a controller for your Sony PS3 or PC. 

Yes you can add more games to it! by hacking it 😉 By default there is 27 fighters, 3 sports and 10 action games (including all Metal Slug)

 You can also use this purely as a fight stick and plug it in to consoles or PC which is nice. buttons can be swapped easily for Sanwa

You must buy an HDMI cable and a power supply (USB 5V) to play on a HDTV.  The unit is powered by usb type C.

How to add games to the SNK NEOGEO Arcade Stick Pro

1. Download ROM from https://t.me/NeoGeoCFW. you need to install Telegram

2. Copy 3 files to the memory stick root.

3. Insert the memory stick to the SNK NEOGEO Arcade Stick Pro

4. Go to the Setting, then System, choose the System upgrade. The Arcade Stick Pro will search for an upgrade file automatically.

5. The upgrade file will be available. Click the confirm button.

6. Restarting to upgrade. Upgrading takes around 20 minutes. Do not power off the Stick to avoid potential risk.

7. Then you will see the application selection. Go for NEOGEO Hack.

Neo Geo UNIBios 4.0 is now free for personal use

The UNIVERSE BIOS is for owners of SNK MVS or AES hardware that want an easy way to change country region or between Arcade or Console mode on boot. Also included are other features that are not possible using the standard MVS bios.
 
The UNIVERSE BIOS is also designed to give easy access to things like inserting coins, test mode and memory card management when using the joystick ports only. Of course the BIOS still allows standard operation too.

“NEOGEO mini” is a game machine with 40 built-in masterpieces and masterpiece titles from among the varied lineup of the game platform “NEOGEO” born in 1990. The game machine body has a 3.5-inch liquid crystal display and you can enjoy your favorite game without connecting it to the TV monitor. It is a compact size to ride in the palm, and the exterior design is prepared in two types: the Japanese version (sold in Japan, Asia region) and the overseas version (sold in North America, Europe and other regions). The Japanese version was designed with blue, white, red color scheme, with the motif of NEOGEO’s arcade cabinet which appeared in the 1990’s. Overseas version is a simple, modern design based on black, white, blue.

NEO GEO X Gold Entertainment System review

The NEO GEO X Gold entertainment system comes complete with the NEO GEO X Station, the NEO GEO X Handheld with 20 pre-loaded NEO GEO classic titles, and the NEO GEO X Joystick. In addition to coming preloaded with 20 NEO GEO classic titles, the NEO GEO X Handheld device features a crisp 4.3-inch LCD display, an expandable game card slot, internal stereo speakers, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack for a personal gaming experience you can take anywhere.

Unboxing the Neo Geo X is dead simple. The main display box contains two smaller white boxes of approximately the same size. Each white box, has a Neo Geo logo sticker on it to indicate whether it has been opened or not. The hand held console, the huge docking station and instructions are in one box, while the power adapter, RCA cable, Neo Geo stick a and Ninja Masters SD card are in the other.

For a limited time, the PRE-ORDER ONLY NEO GEO X GOLD LIMITED EDITION was coming with a free NINJA MASTER’S NEO GEO X Game Card. The system comes with 20 games built in and multiple genres are covered, from fighting to sports to side scrolling shooters. There is better games available on the machine but Tommo Inc. may want to sell them us later…

The hand held is feeling heavy in the hand and rubberized in the back with a really cool SNK silver logo embedded in it.

The docking station  itself looks like an original Neo Geo Home AES console (albeit smaller). it has 2 video output both in 4:3 format

• AV out (red/white/yellow)
• HDMI out

Both video output are near from being perfect. (see limitations). The sound is great and really close if not identical to the original AES sound.

The lid do not close well and you ll have to press firmly to close it all the times. the docking is a cool idea and will be a nice addition to any vintage gaming console collection.

If you’re lucky to order 3 Neo Geo X like me, you may get them in the original Tommo Inc. box like me.

What is great

• Hand held quality is high,
• Clicky joystick on hand held,
• Real size AES stick USB which can work under windows without any specific driver (MAME  Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator, in a game press: TAB,  Input (General) or Input (this Game) and you can setup Neo stick there.)
• Docking station is looking great on the shelves,

Limitations

• No ability to save games *
• 5 hours of game play while on the road, may be enough for you but not for all users
• Games do not save high score,
• No independent charger for the handheld, charging only through the docking station is possible for now. An official power supply is rumored to be available soon.
• Video output is at least on a Full HD screen horrible and has no scan lines. Picture is tearing on HDTV screen   *

* but that may change with a firmware update, at least I hope. The hacker scene is already providing new ROMS and firmware!

We are collecting the NeoGeo X consoles and joysticks directly from the manufacturer between the 19^th – 22^nd December. We are going to air freight these over (may I add at great expense) on a priority chartered service.

Can you please provide all of the outstanding orders (and please keep me updated with new orders as they come through) and we will ship these directly from our warehouse to your customers – this will save some critical days and ensure your customers receive the product as quickly as possible. We have cancelled all Christmas leave for all our employees until the last unit has been shipped to your customers. This is not as drastic as it sounds as all our team volunteered this, of course, including myself. We expect to ship between Christmas and New Year.  As per our discussion, please also remain open to process enquiries, customer support and additional orders during this period.

We will ship using either DHL or FedEx (depending upon who will deliver the quickest) and we will provide the tracking information to all of your customers to you, so you can quickly and easily track all deliveries.

We might miss Christmas by a few days, but we are doing all we can to ensure that your customers get the NEO GEO X Gold System as quickly as is humanely possible!
